2021: Rakeem Boyd

For the first time since 2016, Arkansas produced a 1,000-yard rusher in Rakeem Boyd. Boyd came to Arkansas from Independence Community College in Independence, Kansas, where he wasn't only the star of the team but the star of the hit Netflix Series 'Last Chance U'.

Boyd took advantage of his "last chance" and became bell cow for an SEC football team, albeit a struggling one. With 6.2 yards a carry, Boyd was one of the most reliable players on the team. The team played five quarterbacks for significant minutes because Chad Morris couldn't find consistency, but Boyd was always there to shoulder the workload.

He had five games with over 100 yards rushing, including a 185-yard performance against Western Kentucky. Boyd finished the season with 1.133 yards on the ground and another 160 through the air. He also led the team with eight touchdowns, including the quarterbacks (Nick Starkel had the highest with seven).
