2025: KJ Jefferson

The irony of KJ Jefferson making the 2025 cover is that 2023 was arguably his worst as the season starter. He threw for 500 yards less than his previous two seasons and nearly matched the amount of interceptions in 2021 and 2022 combined.

On the other hand, if Jefferson wasn't the starter for last year, Arkansas might not have a power five game. The only reason Arkansas stayed in most contests was its outstanding defense and the performances of KJ Jefferson. Through injury, he helped the Razorbacks defeat Florida in the Swamp for the first time in history and gave them a chance to defeat LSU, Alabama, and Ole Miss.

It might not have been his best season, but he was still the best player on Arkansas's sideline most of the year.

He's also broke nearly every available record for a quarterback at the University of Arkansas, breaking his final record — career passing yards — against FIU on November 18.
