Arkansas football has yet another arduous schedule ahead of them in 2024. The Razorbacks have all the usual suspects from the now defunct SEC West, except Alabama, but including Texas and Tennessee.

USA Today has released their predictions for every Power Four team in the country, and Arkansas isn’t getting much love from the national outlet. USA Today predicts the Razorbacks to win only four games, suffering another losing season. The prediction seems a little low, but with so many unknowns on this football team, it's not surprising.

However, people in Fayetteville know about Bobby Petrino. Arkansas fans know that the Razorbacks were just a competent offensive coordinator away from being a good football team last year. The Hogs nearly beat LSU in Baton Rouge and Alabama in Tuscaloosa in 2023. Sure, in the end, Arkansas let go of the rope, but that’s neither here nor there.

The Razorbacks have a legitimate shot to go to a bowl game this season. Not many people will be happy with a six and six record, but it might be enough for Sam Pittman to keep his job.

Taylen Green is someone who will surprise people. At Boise State, the spotlight wasn’t on the third-year quarterback as it will be in the SEC, and the pressure could affect him, but from everything put out about the young man, Arkansas fans shouldn't worry. His leadership has already shown its effect in the locker room, and his football skills have already shown out in Razorback Stadium.

With Green and Petrino leading the offense, Arkansas will be better in 2024. The defense is also in good hands, with Travis Williams as the defensive coordinator. The Razorbacks having those two coordinators alone should be enough for one or two more wins.
