Arkansas's stud pushed the Hogs to a win over UAB despite lackluster performances from the duds
Studs Cont.
Andrew Armstrong
Armstrong is the Razorbackers' Hog of the Week. He wasn't just the best wide receiver on the field; he was the entire offensive passing game. Quarterback Taylen Green and Armstrong have a great connection that's allowed the former FCS transfer to produce consecutive lights-out performances.
He torched UAB on eight catches for 137 yards. Armstrong still hasn't gotten in the endzone, but he stepped up when the other receivers failed to make a single reception until the second half.
Stephen Dix Jr.
The redshirt senior played a great game on Saturday. Dix and senior defensive back Jayden Johnson led the team with ten tackles a piece, with Dix producing five solo tackles.
Before his performance against UAB, the Marshall transfer made only four tackles in the first two games. He stepped up in a game where nearly everyone on the defense looked mentally drained, making play after play. If Dix can repeat that effort every week, the linebackers will have a great three-player rotation with him, Xavian Sorey, and Brad Spence.
