Arkansas football has released its first official injury report of the season

Late Wednesday night, Arkansas football released its first official injury report of the season. The Southeastern Conference announced in August teams must provide a report for all conference games starting in 2024. With the first conference game around the corner, the Hogs have complied with the new rule, and there are a few notable players listed out for the Razorbacks.

The name listed first is Jaylon Braxton. The star corner missed last Saturday's game against UAB with an injury, but head coach Sam Pittman expressed a positive outlook from Braxton's return in Monday's press conference. Another key piece missing in the secondary is safety, Hudson Clark. Both players were sorely missed against the Blazers. UAB gashed the Hogs through the air all night , gaining 235 yards and three touchdowns.

A few other examples could be problematic, with Nico Davillier, Anton Juncaj, and Jayden Johnson listed as probable. Most likely, all three will play, but Davillier and Juncaj play the opposite defensive end position as Landon Jackson, and there's little depth behind the three. And with a defensive line that's played below most think is their potential, slight injuries could still affect the game. The same thing goes for Johnson. The secondary is already down two guys that play significant reps. Being down three is a disaster waiting to happen.
