1. Chris Paul

Chris Paul Jr. is No. 1 because he checks every box of a painful transfer.

1. Paul's ceiling wasn't reached while he was at Arkansas.

2. He was a fan favorite.

3.
He left a position of need.

4.
He left to go to a team who some consider a rival of Arkansas.

Paul leaving Arkansas was detrimental to the team. His departure sparked an exodus of linebackers that left the Hogs desperately searching for answers in the transfer portal. No players with significant snaps at LB in 2023 returned to Arkansas in 2024. Sure, Arkansas still has talent Xavian Sorey Jr., Brad Spence, and Carson Dean, but the SEC experience and success of Paul will be missed.

He also twisted the knife as he left when he committed to Ole Miss.

Paul finished his career at Arkansas with 137 tackles, 68 solo, 15 tackles for loss, six sacks, a pass deflection, and a forced fumble.
