The Razorbacks have dodged the injury bug for most of the season. Unfortunately, the Hogs were at the most inopportune time.

One of Arkansas’s starting pitchers will not play this weekend in the Fayetteville Regional. Brady Tygart is dealing with a shoulder injury that will need “some testing,” before they’ll know the extent of it, per Coach Dave Van Horn

Van Horn also mentioned that Cooper Dossett will miss the rest of the Season. He left in the middle of a game versus Texas A&M with an injury to his throwing arm. Luckily, Coach Van Horn said that he wouldn't need surgery.

Fortunately, if there is one position on the team that’s built to withstand late-season injuries, it’s the pitching staff. Arkansas still has starter Mason Molina and ace Hagen Smith to play in their usual spots. There are also the super-talented underclassmen in Gage Wood and Gabe Gaeckle. And, of course, there’s the always-clutch Will McEntire. The Razorbacks have more than enough to get through three games.

Shortcomings at the plate, on the other hand, might mean the Hogs drop a game. Arkansas might have enough to move on to the supers, but a game four would probably be shaky.

Arkansas will play Southeastern Missouri on Friday at 2:30 p.m. CST. You can catch the game on ESPN Plus.
