Since 1988, the University of Arkansas Sports Hall of Honor has named over 270 inducted over 270 individuals each fall. This year, nine more Razorback greats will join the exclusive club.

The eight athletes and one coach officially entering the Hall of Honor are Ravin Caldwell (football), Alex Collins (football), Matt Hemingway (men’s track and field), Matt Jones (football), Kareem Reid (men’s basketball), Coach Dave Van Horn (baseball), Devon Wallace (softball), David Walling (baseball) and Wendi Willits (women’s basketball).

When Director of Athletic Hunter Yurachek commented on this year's inductees, he said,

"“The University of Arkansas Sports Hall of Honor represents the best of the best in the history of our program... This year’s talented class features a Hall of Fame coach and some of the most dynamic athletes in Razorback history, including national champions, Olympic medalists and standouts from six of our programs who helped lay the foundation for our success. We look forward to celebrating these men and women and their many accomplishments during our Hall of Honor weekend.”"

Having so many Arkansas greats in the same room is always a sight to see, but the ceremony will be bittersweet this fall. Of the nine individuals listed, one won't be there to see his name inducted. Alex Collins sadly passed away in 2023 from a motorcycle accident.

The ceremony will be on Friday, September 13 on the night be for Arkansas's football game against UAB.
