The SEC had an offensive explosion last week, with nine teams scoring over 50 points. Kentucky's game ended early from inclement weather, but they might have scored 50-plus points too. And of the 13 SEC wins, 11 were by double digits. The defenses were also on display as six teams shut out their opponents, and five more held their teams to a touchdown or less.

Even history was made with Arkansas's 70-0 win over UAPB. The Hogs had ten offensive drives for ten touchdowns. It's the first time in over 20 years an FBS team has accomplished the feat. It's more impressive doing it without forcing any turnovers and shortening the third and fourth quarters by five minutes.

However, not every team found success this weekend. Three teams lost in week one. Luckily for them, all three losses were against ranked opponents.

Florida dropped the farthest in this week's rankings after being drug at home against Miami. The final score of 41-17 wasn't indicative of the beating the Gators received. The Hurricanes did whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted to Florida.

However, the Gators are saved from slamming into the bottom of the rankings, but not by Vanderbilt as you'd think. The Commodores are one of the biggest surprises in college football after beating ACC dark horse Virginia Tech. No, the basement belongs to South Carolina after the disgusting, offensive performance it put on the field Saturday.

The best part of the Gamecocks offense was former Razorback Rocket Sanders, that is, on the plays where the offensive line blocked for him. South Carolina barely survived Old Dominion 23-19.
