Two 2026 Sooner State prospects commit to the Arkansas football within an hour
After starting off the 2025 class slow, Arkansas's 2026 recruitment was off to a hot start with three commitments yesterday, but today, it got even better. The Hogs added two more recruits, with four-start defensive lineman Colton Yarbrough and three-star defensive back Adam Auston.
Yarbrough is a 6-foot-5-inch edge player who can play with his hand down or standing up as a linebacker. According to 247Sports, the Durant, Okla. native is the No. 147 player in the nation, No. 17 edge, and No. 1 player in Oklahoma. 247Sports composite rates him as a .9256 four-star.
Deke Adams has landed a four-star defensive line prospect in four consecutive classes with Quincy Rhodes Jr., Charleston Collins, Kavion Henderson, and Reginald Vaughn — who committed only seven days prior — all precede Yarbrough's commitment. Adams has single-handedly built a foundation on the DL that could last for years.
Arkansas stole another commitment from the Sooner State only a few moments after Yarbrough announced his commitment. Adam Auston from Lawton, Okla., also called the Hogs today.
Auston is an 89-rated four-star, according to 247Sports, which is borderline four-star status. He's ranked the No. 4 player in the state and the No. 24 overall safety in his class.
Here's a little of what scouting analyst Gabe Brooks had to say about Auston's potential:
"[Auston is] a big safety who could possibly grow into a full-time linebacker. Owns snaps aligned as a traditional safety, a linebacker, over the slot, and even off the edge on occasion. Knows how to time up blitzes. Closes with conviction and linear athleticism."
With today's commitments, Arkansas's recruiting class is ranked No. 8 in the nation and No. 4 in the SEC with five commitments.
