Three reasons Arkansas football will have success in 2024
The schedule
Arkansas has had one of the hardest schedules in the country for years. For the first time since Arkansas joined the SEC, it doesn’t have to play Alabama. Of course, the SEC switched that game with Texas, which is having a renaissance of sorts. However, that will be a huge rivalry game, giving Arkansas extra motivation.
As far as home and away games are concerned, the Razorbacks have the best schedule they could hope for. Arkansas's four toughest games will be in Fayetteville. Ole Miss, LSU, Tennessee, and Texas are all at home. The hardest game they have on the road is Missouri to finish the season, but they’ll also play Mississippi State, Auburn, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma State away from the Natural State.
That’s not the only benefit of the schedule. Arkansas has two bye weeks. The first one happens right before Arkansas plays LSU. The Tigers will play Ole Miss that week, so potentially, they’ll be beaten up when they play the Hogs. Arkansas has another right before they play Texas. The last time Arkansas played Texas in Fayetteville, the atmosphere was electric. And now, the Razorbacks will have a whole week to rest before their matchup.
If Arkansas can take care of business in the nonconference, win one away game, and steal a game at home, Arkansas will go 6-6.
