Not many people are betting on the Razorbacks this season. After going 4–8 in 2023, Arkansas football is in the SEC's basement yet again. Even other SEC coaches aren't high on the Hogs.

The sports analytic giant Pro Football Focus released a power ranking of all 131 teams in the FBS. Arkansas ranks No. 56.

PFF projects the Razorbacks to win 6.0 games and a 57.84 percent chance to go bowling, with the 31st-ranked strength of schedule, which is slightly higher than most outlets. However, it only gives Arkansas a 1.12 percent chance to win the SEC and a 0.11 percent chance at a national championship.

Arkansas only tops two SEC teams, No. 60 Mississippi State and Vanderbilt, but both were awarded a high strength of schedule. The SEC dominates the top of the rankings, with Georgia, Texas, Alabama, LSU, Missouri, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Texas A&M in the top-25.
