Under Eric Musselman, Arkansas all but broke ground for a new home at the free throw line. Just last season, the Razorbacks were third in the country in attempts from the charity stripe. Although that isn't Calipari's game, having a guy who can force fouls — and capitalize on his opportunities — is always a nice weapon to have in your back pocket.
DJ Davis had 216 free throw attempts at Butler in the last two years. More impressively, he hits them at a 91.2 percent clip. And he's not bad from the field, either.
Under Calipari, Davis' role can be akin to Chris Lykes' at Arkansas' 2021-2022 season. With a slight lead and the game on the line, Lykes was the go-to guy on inbound plays because he was clutch at the free-throw line.
