This weekend, Missouri beat Arkansas for the ninth time since joining the SEC in 2014. It was the fourth time since Arkansas hired Sam Pittman to be the head coach. Many Razorback fans have questioned how long Pittman will remain the head Hog, and today, they might've received their answer.

College football writer for Action Network posted on X (formerly Twitter) that Pittman will, indeed, be Arkansas's head coach in 2025.

The fifth-year head coach has been dealing with hip problems and is scheduled for surgery on Tuesday. With the temperature of the fanbase and his record to date, some wondered if retirement would be on the table for Pittman. One account on X even trolled fans, reporting a fake press conference to announce Pittman's retirement.

Pittman started his collegiate coaching career with Arkansas in 2020, where he went 3-7 with an all-SEC schedule because of COVID-19 and was awarded a bowl game with TCU that was canceled. The next season, he led Arkansas to a 9-4 record with a win over Penn State in the Outback Bowl. Since then, he has an 18-20 record, including a record of 7-17 in games decided by one score (8 points) or less.
