The portal intel is slowly coming in. For fans used to the Eric Musselman way of tackling the transfer portal, it’s almost unbearable to wait so long without hearing a thing, but that wait is over.
According to a report from HawgBeat’s Jackson Collier, Florida State big man Malique Ewin will visit Fayetteville on Monday. Currently, Arkansas only has one player over 6-foot-6 (Trevon Brazile), with Jonas Aidoo running out of eligibility and Zvonimir Ivisic joining his bother in Illinois. A Ewin commitment would be a huge start to the transfer class.

A former 4-star recruit out of high school with a .9623 Composite rating from 247Sports, Ewin began his college career at Ole Miss, where he played limited minutes—averaging 5.9 per game across 14 appearances. His standout performance came against UCF when he posted 10 points and five rebounds.
After his freshman season, he transferred to South Plains College, a JUCO in Levelland, Texas, where he flourished, earning the No. 1 spot in the junior college rankings according to 247Sports. That momentum carried into his time with the Seminoles, where he emerged as a true bright spot in FSU's poor offense.

Big time visitor for the Razorbacks. #wps
At 6-foot-11 and 230 pounds, Ewin averaged 14.2 points per game on an efficient 59.6% shooting while grabbing 7.6 rebounds. A traditional scoring big — attempting just one three-pointer all season — he recorded nine double-doubles, including a dominant 20-point, 10-rebound effort in just 23 minutes against Miami. This season, Ewin racked up 92 offensive rebounds, 40 more than any player on Arkansas’ roster, despite playing three fewer games.
