Arkansas basketball true freshman Karter Knox has officially withdrawn from the NBA draft.
Karter Knox withdraws from NBA Draft
Although it was expected that Knox would return to college after his NBA draft experience, the attention he received at the NBA combine began to raise doubts. As time went on, Knox steadily rose in each passing NBA draft projection. In most, he was a mid to early second-round pick, but a few had Knox going in the late first round.
In his first season on the Hill, Knox played in 36 games, starting in 24. As the injuries stacked up throughout the season, Knox became one of the more consistent players on the roster. He finished the 2024-25 season, scoring 8.3 points a game and shot 46.2 percent from the field. His three-point shooting continued to progress as a Razorback, finished the season shooting at a 35 percent clip. He even showed out at the NBA combine, knocking down 18 of 22.
He also grew into one of the best defenders on the team. In the final game of the season against Texas Tech in the Sweet Sixteen, Knox was an absolute menace in the paint. In one instance, he blocked back-to-back shots near the beginning of the game, setting the tone on defense. He averaged 3.3 rebounds, one assist, .5 blocks, and .6 steals a game.
Karter Knox's strong performance helped Arkansas advance to the Sweet 16. Seems to have found another gear with his intensity, making big plays defensively with 4 blocks, getting on the glass, and scoring 15 points, drawing 11 free throws. Of the four Razorbacks returning, Knox has arguably the highest ceiling among them. He could be the Adou Thiero of the 2025-26 team, leading the team in scoring as well as being the go-to player in a pinch. Well, that is if Thiero doesn't join him in returning.
