The Hogs are back home for the first time since the loss to Notre Dame. It's also the first time since November 25, 2011, that interim head coach Bobby Petrino has led Arkansas in Razorback Stadium.
Last week's loss to Tennessee was also his first time as the head coach since the 2012 Cotton Bowl. In that game, the Hogs showed some progress after a poor start to the season, holding the Vols to a season low in points. But the same ole problems plagued the offense— namely, fumbles.
Fumbles are essentially the difference in three of Arkansas' four losses; they're the difference between 2-4 and 5-1. If Petrino can make as much headway with the offense as he did with the defense, the future of the 2025-26 season could still have a glimmer of hope.
However, standing in the Razorbacks' way this week is Texas A&M. Unlike the Vols, the Aggies have an exceptional defense. It makes its living on third down, allowing the fewest conversions in the country. On the other hand, Arkansas is one of the best teams in the nation at converting third downs.
Here’s how you can tune in to see this classic clash between an unstoppable force and an immovable object play out:
