The offense struggled in the first quarter as the Horns lead the Hogs
Arkansas and Texas are one quarter down, with the Longhorns leading 7-0.
Arkansas's offense could get much going in the first quarter. It wasn't until their fourth drive of the game that the Hogs even made a first down. On that drive, the Razorbacks made it all the way to the Texas 38-yard line. But two sacks resulted in a 22-yard loss.
Texas' defense was sturdy, but — shocker — most of the problems for the Razorbacks were self-inflicted, with multiple bad decisions and drops, including one that turned into a Longhorns' interception. Another problem is Arkansas's inability to get the ground game going. Texas held Arkansas to .8 yards per carry, which will get the offense nowhere in SEC play.
The Hogs' defense has been just as stubborn, forcing the Horns to punt on three of their four drives. Texas' one score of the quarter came after intercepting Taylen Green on its third drive.
