The 2025 Arkansas football season may go down as one of the strangest in program history, a year defined by explosive offensive fireworks paired with historically poor defense. As the season wraps up, the Razorbacks’ record may not reflect it, but the team has produced some truly remarkable individual and unit-level performances worth highlighting.

Here are the most surprising, impressive, and telling stats from Arkansas’ 2025 campaign.

A Record-Setting Offense… in a Wasted Season

Arkansas has now posted a program-record six games of 500+ yards of total offense this season. Under offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino, the Razorbacks offense has been electric in all aspects from the running game to the passing attack.

Petrino has once again showcased why he’s considered one of the sharpest offensive minds in modern college football. Unfortunately for Arkansas, his brilliance has been overshadowed by a defense that has struggled at historically bad levels. The contrast between a high-powered offense and a porous defense is the defining theme of the year, a reason many view 2025 as a lost opportunity for what was a very talented roster.

Taylen Green Chasing a Legend

Quarterback Taylen Green has been nothing short of electric. Through 11 games, Green has amassed 3,428 yards of total offense. He now needs just 368 more to break Ryan Mallett’s single-season program record of 3,795 yards, set back in 2010.

Green’s growth since transferring from Boise State has been one of the program’s biggest success stories. His dynamic playmaking, rushing ability, and command of Petrino’s offense have made him the engine of Arkansas football for two seasons now. If he’s healthy enough to play in the finale, there’s a strong argument he should be allowed to finish what he started and take his shot at Razorback history.

A Kicking Streak That Defies College Football Chaos

Arkansas has quietly produced one of the nation’s longest extra-point streaks, converting 225 consecutive PATs dating back to Dec. 5, 2020. That streak ranks second nationally by start date, trailing only Northwestern (Oct. 24, 2020).

In a sport where botched holds, blocked kicks, and weather mishaps seem to happen every Saturday, this level of consistency is rare, especially for a team that scores as often as Arkansas does. College kickers are often unpredictable; Arkansas’ kickers have bucked that trend for nearly five full seasons.

Raylen Sharpe: The Definition of Reliable

Wide receiver Raylen Sharpe has quietly put together one of the longest reception streaks in the country. He has caught a pass in 40 consecutive games, a run that started back in 2022 at Missouri State.

His official streak of 39 games (excluding one game with an official scoring adjustment) is tied for second-longest nationally, alongside Missouri’s Kevin Coleman Jr., and behind only Bowling Green’s Jyrin Johnson (44 games).

Sharpe has been the steady, sure-handed security blanket for his quarterbacks over the years at each school he's been at, especially Taylen Green. His dependability has anchored a receiving room that has grown significantly over the year.

Rohan Jones: A Breakout Tight End Rewriting the Record Book

Tight end Rohan Jones has emerged as one of Arkansas’ biggest breakout stars. He’s the first Arkansas TE to record a 100-yard receiving game since 2023. He’s the first TE to log both a receiving and rushing touchdown in the same game since at least 1997. He’s the first Arkansas tight end with multiple 100-yard games in a season since Hunter Henry in 2015.

Jones now sits just seven receiving yards away from becoming only the fourth tight end in Arkansas history to surpass 500 receiving yards in a season, joining:

  • Hunter Henry (739 in 2015; 513 in 2014)
  • D.J. Williams (723 in 2008; 627 in 2010)
  • Chris Gragg (518 in 2011)

With one game to go, the real question is: how high can Jones climb on that list?

His blend of size, athleticism, and versatility has given Arkansas one of its most impactful tight end seasons in nearly a decade.
