At this point, all you can do is laugh at the absurdity of college football nowadays.

For the second time this week, Arkansas running back Braylen Russell has entered the transfer portal.

It's been a tough week for Hog fans. Twenty-six Razorbacks hopped into the portal since it opened last Monday, including eight starters and six others who either played significant roles this season or were expected to in 2025. If that weren't bad enough, fans have received a slap to the face from four of them. Speaking about adding insult to injury, that brings us back to Russell.

As previously mentioned, this is the second time this week that the up-and-coming star entered the transfer portal. The drama that unfolded his first go-around burned bridges in the fanbase, but now, it's scorched Earth.

For those two posts, there are another 200 hundred littering social media. In the current state of college football, transferring is the norm. But to play with the emotions of an already triggered fanbase is the quickest way to becoming public enemy No. 1 in Fayetteville.

When starters or major contributors transfer, NIL is likely a major factor in the decision. So, of course, that was the logical step most fans took with Russell. It's not too hard to jump to that conclusion, given his recruitment to Arkansas.

Naturally, fans and media members alike ventured to guess where Russell would end up, and one program trended above the rest. With recent events, Ole Miss was the most popular school to blame for Russell's departure. We won't truly know if Lane Kiffin and the Rebels are behind the drama, but it didn't stop a few from making jokes on their behalf.

Arkansas has a lot of work to do, but they seem to be heading in the right direction in the transfer portal. But only time will tell if they're about to recover fully this offseason.
