Arkansas is continuing to rack up media attention ahead of the 2025 season from various media outlets. Not only are the Razorbacks being handed preseason awards, they are also getting the recognition of being one of the teams that have the highest chance of making it to Omaha, Neb.
NCBWA writer Noah Darling is hopping on the hype train for this year’s squad with the amount of depth the Hogs have in the bullpen and in the dugout.
“Just finished writing my preview of this year’s Arkansas squad,” Darling said in a post on X. “Not sure I could love a team more. Let’s go on this journey together, hog fans.”
D1Baseball writer Joe Healy spoke highly of Arkansas’ lineup with how much optimism surrounds them. With how much the Razorbacks are improving from last year, Healy said that it’s a wait-and-see with how the offense will look.
“I think there’s a lot of signs pointing towards Wehiwa Aloy,” Healy said on the Highway to Hoover podcast. “The numbers were already good. But just becoming a better all-around hitter where you mix in some more hit ability with the power. I’ve heard a lot of optimism about Nolan Souza taking another step forward.
“Obviously, a healthy Kendall Diggs is just kind of like a nice load-bearing wall. He’s probably not going to be the flashiest guy out there or put up the biggest numbers. But just a veteran presence that has been through a lot of big games with them.”
The Razorbacks begin the 2025 campaign against the Washington State Cougars on Friday in Baum-Walker Stadium. It will be the start of a four-game series that concludes on Monday.
