IDK what to even say in this caption.. he’s just NBA Ready.. Best PG in this Draft class.. pic.twitter.com/MdaIg3iCkP
Acuff scored 24 points on 9-of-19 shooting from the field and 3-of-5 from three, highlighting his scoring efficiency. Frankie Vision, a widely followed basketball account, called him ‘NBA ready…Best PG in this Draft class.’ The post’s high engagement suggests that many fans across the country share the same sentiment
Darius Acuff Jr is like a young Stephon Marbury and we don’t make statement lightly

Now we have a Stephon Marbury comparison. Funny enough, NBA draft analyst Jonathon Wasserman just released a mock draft recently and had this as the same comp for the Arkansas guard. This goes with the style of play Acuff plays with and how he's not the most athletic or dynamic guard out there, but his smoothness to the game stands out as one of his biggest strengths. Filthy is an understatement with how well the star freshamn has been playing as of late and he hasn't shown any signs of slowing down.
WHAT A PERFORMANCE BY DARIUS ACUFF JR. 👏

Lastly, the SEC twitter account even took notice to go out of the way to give Acuff his flowers. 24 points, 8 assists, and 5 rebounds shows his all around game but this doesn't even show the most impressive stat of it all. One turnover. For a lead guard to do what he's doing, in the amount of minutes he's been playing, and be as effective as he's been is just outstanding. While he's known for his playmaking ability and getting his teammates involved frequently, having four straight 20 point games means he can put the ball in the basketball with the best of them. SEC Freshman of the Year honors might be locked away, now he has SEC Player of the Year in his sights.
