Arkansas has added another quarterback to its roster, securing a commitment from former Angelo State standout Braeden Fuller, according to On3. Fuller, ranked No. 148 overall among quarterbacks in the transfer portal, becomes the 23rd player to join the Razorbacks under new head coach Ryan Silverfield this cycle.
Angelo State's Star QB Braeden Fuller
A Texas native, Fuller brings experience, size, and versatility to Fayetteville. Standing 6’3” and weighing 230 pounds, he has the physical tools to compete at the FBS level, along with a proven track record as a starter at the Division II level.
Fuller enjoyed a breakout 2024 season with the Angelo State Rams, earning a finalist spot for the Harlon Hill Trophy, the Division II equivalent of the Heisman. That year, he started 12 games, passing for 2,318 yards with 19 touchdowns and just two interceptions. He also contributed 678 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns, a performance that earned him Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the Year honors. That level of efficiency with the football and not turning it over can translate anywhere. A TD-INT ratio like that is a big reason he was getting looks at by the FBS.
Unfortunately, Fuller’s 2025 season was limited to eight games due to a calf injury. Despite the setback, he still managed to throw for 15 touchdowns and four interceptions, showing the poise and command that made him a standout in 2024.
Razorbacks Bolster QB Room with New Competition
For Arkansas, Fuller represents both depth and potential upside at quarterback. With a room led by young signal-callers KJ Jackson and AJ Hill, Fuller’s experience commanding an offense, even at the Division II level, could prove invaluable. He could provide a reliable backup option while also competing for opportunities if injuries, performance issues, or inexperience hiccups from the other QBs arise.
While he couldn’t fully build on his dominant 2024 campaign due to injury, Arkansas could provide the perfect stage for Fuller to showcase his talent at the highest level. Whether as a quality depth addition or a future starter, he’s a versatile quarterback who knows how to lead a team and could make an impact in Fayetteville sooner rather than later.
