After the poor showing over the weekend, Arkansas bounced back in a big way to keep their tournament hopes alive, beating Vanderbilt 90-77. They played with effort and energy throughout the entire game, despite being shorthanded with only seven rotation players.
The Hogs stuck to their calling card by dominating in the paint. They scored 48 points in the paint and only allowed 26 points on the defensive end. Everyone stepped up in this game, with Trevon Brazile and Johnell Davis leading the way.
They were effective at deterring shots near the basket, blocking eight shots, with five players recording a block. Defense and rebounding played a big role in winning this game, forcing turnovers and blocking shots along with a rebounding margin of +11.

Offensive Execution
The Hogs have had a few great offensive performances this season, and this game was one of them. They put up 90 points against a Vanderbilt team that is coming off back-to-back top-15 wins. Since 2010, Arkansas is 27-1 in regular-season SEC games when scoring 90+ points.
Arkansas was dominant in the paint, which gave them easy shot opportunities and an efficient shooting night. They shot 50.3% from the field and 70.6% in the paint. Their 33 made baskets and 48 paint points were season-high numbers against an SEC opponent.
Trevon Brazile
Trevon Brazile had an incredible game against the Commodores, scoring 16 points on an efficient 6-8 from the field, including a few highlight-reel dunks. He grabbed 14 rebounds, four of which were offensive rebounds, which has been a glaring weakness for the Hogs. He was very impactful on defense, using his size and length to disrupt Vanderbilt's offense. He recorded two steals and two blocks, making his presence known.

Johnell Davis
Davis recorded a game-high 21 points against Vandy, his second-highest scoring game this season. While it wasn't the most efficient game for him, he made big plays in big moments. The Razorbacks are now 2-0 when Davis scores 20+ points and 5-1 when he scores 15+ points. When Davis gets rolling, the Hogs are hard to beat.
Rebounding
Rebounding was a big factor in the team's victory. The team grabbed 42 rebounds, 11 more than Vanderbilt and seven more than its season average. Twelve of those boards were offensive rebounds, which led to an incredible 19 second-chance points. Trevon Brazile led the way with 14 rebounds, followed by Jonas Aidoo with eight.
