Arkansas freshman Boogie Fland has withdrawn from the 2025 NBA Draft, according to ESPN's Jonathan Givony. He entered the NBA draft while maintaining college eligibility and will weigh his options in the transfer portal moving forward.

Fland's Freshman Season
Boogie Fland was phenomenal for the Razorbacks as the lead guard, averaging 13.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 5.1 assists, shooting 37.9% FG, 34.0% 3PT, and 83.3% FT. In January, Fland had surgery to repair his UCL in his right thumb, causing him to miss a significant amount of games for the Hogs. Before his injury, he averaged 15.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 5.7 assists (led SEC in assists among freshmen), while shooting 39.1% FG, 36.5% 3PT, and 83.9% FT.
He returned for the NCAA tournament but wasn't fully himself in those games. His injury was on his shooting hand, so his shooting and scoring ability were hindered after returning.
NBA Draft
Boogie Fland was once considered a mid-first-round pick, but saw his draft stock plummet as the season went on, and his injury caused him to miss almost half of the season. In recent weeks, Fland has been considered a 2nd round pick by many draft analysts, but his skill set displayed that he is a first-round talent. Coach Calipari agrees, saying, "I fully expect that he is going to be a first-round draft pick. I’ve coached players with his talent and know how they are doing in the NBA, he has “IT”."
Transfer Portal
Boogie Fland entered the transfer portal on April 22nd with a "do not contact" tag to focus on the NBA Draft, according to CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein. While it's unclear that the tag is still active, he is one of the top remaining players in the transfer portal, according to 247Sports. He withdrew from the draft during the NBA Draft Combine drills, meaning he was either uneasy with his draft status or already had a deal on the table with a college program.

His return to the Arkansas Razorbacks is questionable. They already have two on-ball point guards in D.J. Wagner and incoming freshman Darius Acuff, so Fland's role on this team would be more uncertain. There's also the murmurs of a pricy deal waiting for his return back to college.
Of course, having his caliber of talent would greatly benefit the Hogs, but he will likely choose the best possible role to continue his development. However, Coach Calipari said, "he also knows I will always be here for him." A return is possible, and Hog fans would be ecstatic to see him touting a Razorbacks jersey next season.
