Q: When LSU lost to USC, most of the country wrote the Tigers off. Now, they’re sitting at 5-1. Can you give us a little insight into how the fanbase feels about Brian Kelly’s program?

A: Coming off a top-10 victory over Lane Kiffin and his transfer portal built Ole Miss roster? Tiger fans are certainly feeling good about the direction this season is headed. Even so, this team isn't perfect, and from what I've seen, the fanbase has been fairly realistic about it as a whole.

Add in the fact that games against Arkansas always manage to be closer than usual, and there's an overall sense of hesitant optimism heading into Saturday. They'll show confidence on the outside, but there's little doubt that if Brian Kelly's squad falls behind at any point, it will be doomsday for the fanbase all over again.

Q: Arkansas has had a week to get healthy and process its big win against Tennessee, while LSU is coming off its own big, yet tough, win over Ole Miss. Do you think that will affect the Tigers, especially coming into Fayetteville at night with fans that have something to cheer for now?

A: It'd be silly of me to not expect at least something of a hangover following last week's victory over Ole Miss. In many ways, it wouldn't surprise me to see a similar, yet smaller sized hangover from the Razorbacks after a top-10 win of their own just two weeks ago.

Ultimately, I think this is going to be a fist fight of a game that could be fairly ugly in the first half in terms of overall execution from both teams. How that second half goes? Well, I guess we'll just have to see how those halftime adjustments go for both teams in what is bound to be an electric crowd in Fayetteville.
