We're only five games into the season, and the lack of depth on Arkansas's basketball team is becoming a problem.

The Hogs beat the University of Arkansas Little Rock 79-67. Twelve points seem like a decent margin of victory, but the Razorbacks went into the locker room ahead by 18. The Trojans scored 19 points more in the second half than they did in the first.

With Trevon Brazile and Jonas Aidoo still nursing injuries, Arkansas was noticeably tired about the break. On defense, especially, the Hogs looked sluggish. The first 15 minutes, they were greedy, stealing ten of UALR's 11 turnovers. Arkansas had five in the second half.

Conversely, the turnovers on offense started to cause damage on the scoreboard. The Trojans had 14 points of Razorback turnovers in the second period after only three in the first. Also, Arkansas was significantly less accurate after halftime, shooting 31.8 percent from the field after recording 58.1 earlier in the game. Arkansas hit just seven field goals in the second half compared to 18 in the first.

Rotating seven players is taking a toll on the team already against inferior opponents. Hopefully, it's something they become conditioned to because, if not, it could get ugly in conference play.
