While fans patiently wait to hear news from the transfer portal in basketball, football has provided a small nugget of recruiting news. On Monday, class of 2026 defensive tackle Carnell Jackson committed to the Razorbacks.

At 6-foot-3, 318 pounds, Jackson is ranked No. 11 out of 12 commits in the Arkansas 2026 class, per 247Sports. A 3-star recruit, he's the No. 111 DL and No. 46 player in Alabama.

Arkansas was his only major college offer, with offers from Western Kentucky, Tulane, Memphis, Liberty, and East Carolina, to name a few. Jackson didn't waste time committing either. On April 12, the Auburn, Ala., native took an unofficial visit to Fayetteville and committed only two days later.

Arkansas' 2026 class ranks No. 16 in the country, headlined by 4-star edge Colton Yarbrough. At this point, only LSU and Texas A&M rank higher than the Hogs in the SEC, but with 12 commitments, Arkansas has more than any in the conference. So, when averaged out, Arkansas has the No. 35 class in the country and the No. 13 class in the league.
