SEC Media Days are nearing, and programs all over the conference are gearing up to make their appearances on stage in Atlanta. One thing each team has to decide is which players will represent the program during the climax of the talking season. With Sam Pittman obviously leading the charge, Arkansas football has selected quarterback Taylen Green, linebacker Xavian Sorey, and defensive lineman Cam Ball to speak at SEC Media Days.
Arkansas football SEC Media Days lineup
With transfers becoming more of a staple on the field for the Razorbacks, the lineup for SEC Media Days has begun to represent the change. In 2024, all three of Arkansas' student-athlete reps were transfers: Green, Andrew Armstrong, and Landon Jackson. This year, Arkansas is bringing Green and Sorey. The lone nontransfer athlete is Ball.
All three have solidified themselves as leaders heading into the 2025 football season. With vets like Jackson and Eric Gregory gone on the defensive line, Ball has stepped in as the most senior player in the position. Last season, the fifth-year senior made 46 tackles, 22 solo, and 1.5 sacks, and looks to improve on that production like he has every year since moving to Fayetteville.
Sorey took over an LB room left in shambles after the 2023 season and somehow helped turn it into the most solid position on defense. In the process, he quietly led the Razorbacks with 99 tackles, 41 solo, two sacks, and an interception.
Last, but certainly not least, is Green. The Boise State transfer made a huge splash in 2024 with one of the best statistical QB seasons in Arkansas history. Some are even hyping him as a dark horse Heisman candidate.
