Arkansas football is overachieving with high midseason grades
Special Teams: C
Special teams has been a mixed bag so far. While it has benefited the Hogs through the punting game and some fakes, you can't help but wonder, "would Arkansas be 6-0 with Cam Little kicking field goals?"
Little not perfect by any means, but the dude was about at automatic as it comes. Kyle Ramsey just hasn't been that guy. Arkansas missed a crucial field goal against both Oklahoma State and Texas A&M.
The Hogs don't go into overtime against OSU, winning the game outright, and they could at least play more conservative at the end of the A&M instead of having to play for a touchdown. Of course, we can't place the losses solely on his shoulders, but his misses have been consequential.
Hopefully, Matthew Shipley replacing Ramsey after his injury against Tennessee is a net positive, but he was a backup for a reason, so it could be even worse going forward.
You could add in the missed fake field goal against Texas A&M, but that had more to do with coaching decisions than execution. Still, without out those gambles, you wouldn't have moment like the fake punt against Texas A&M.
