The Hogs' defense has been the Achilles heel this season. It's ranked near the bottom of almost every defensive category in the FBS, including turnovers. However, against Auburn, Arkansas finally got one against a Power Four opponent, and it couldn't have come at a better time.

The Razorbacks started slow, giving up 10 points before the offense ever crossed Auburn's 30-yard line. Then, Arkansas put up back-to-back scoring drives, highlighted by massive chunk plays from wide receiver Raylen Sharpe and tight end Rohan Jones, that put the Hogs up 14-10.

Kani Walker's Pick-Six Put Arkansas Up by 11

Quarterback Jackson Arnold and the Tigers' offense responded with a 9-play, 60-yard drive all the way down to the Arkansas 15-yard line. Eight of those plays were on the ground, but on the ninth play, Arnold threw a pick-six to Kani Walker. Not only is it the Hogs' first turnover against an FBS opponent this season, but Walker's interception was the first pick-six since Lorando "Snaxx" Johnson's on the first play of the second half against Texas A&M in 2023.

Walker put the Razorbacks up 21-10 right before halftime. Although the defense gave up 212 yards, it did enough in the first half to give Arkansas an 11-point lead. That has carried over to the second half, too. After giving up nearly 50 yards on the opening second-half kickoff, the defense gave up 46 yards but held the Tigers to a field goal.
