Arkansas was ranked No. 5 in the nation by D1Baseball on Monday. The Razorbacks are one of nine teams in the Southeastern Conference ranked in the top 25.
The Hogs finished last season at No. 5 with a 44-16 (20-10 SEC) record while capturing the SEC Western Division crown. Despite the successful year, Arkansas fell in their own regional in three games with two losses coming from Kansas State and Southeast Missouri State.
The Razorbacks had the No. 2 transfer portal class by Baseball America with junior LHP Zach Root (No. 2, East Carolina) and junior RHP Landon Beidelschies (No. 5, Ohio State) cracking in at the top 5 by D1Baseball. Both strike throwers were named Preseason All-Americans by Perfect Game.
The Hogs were also rated No. 4 in the country in Perfect Game’s recruiting class rankings. The signing class included seven right-handers, one left-hander, five infielders, one outfielder, one utility player, and four two-way players.
Arkansas begins the 2025 campaign against the Washington State Cougars on Friday, Feb. 14 in Baum-Walker Stadium.
