Arkansas is heading into its first series against No. 1 Texas as SEC opponents on a three-series skid. It's not the best of circumstances, but there's no better time to bounce back than the present, and luckily, after a canceled midweek game the Hogs have had an entire week to rest.
For three weeks, the Razorbacks have barely lost games, always within a swing of the bat late to flip the script. They were only a couple of singles away from sweeping Georgia and at least one of Arkansas' losses to Texas A&M and Florida. And the game they won? The Hogs blew them out of the water.
The key difference between the wins and the losses was the pitching. When Arkansas' staters are hot, the bats follow. When they give up runs early, the approach at the plate seems to change. If the Diamond Hogs can sure up the starting rotation and come out hot in at least two games, Arkansas has a good chance to win the series.
