When the SEC moved away from playing primetime games on CBS, a piece of nostalgia went with it. The SEC on CBS theme song was iconic. Since moving to ABC for the first time since 2000, the television network has tried to find a suitable replacement. So far, they haven't had much luck.

ABC's new SEC anthem heading into the 2025 college football season.

However, this season, ABC is trying something different. Instead of trying to recreate an iconic theme, they are taking a page out of the SEC Network's playbook and using a song by country stars Bailey Zimmerman and Luke Combs. The track accompanies a masterfully edited video with highlights from the year's SEC season, include some from the Razorbacks. Unlike the last few tries, most fans are loving it.

While it's not something that fans would enjoy year after year, it makes a great anthem for the 2025-26 season. Here's the video below.

In the SEC's first season back on ABC, Arkansas had a great lineup. The first in 2024 was against Tennessee, where the Razorbacks defeated a top 5 team for the first time since 1999. Ironically, the last victory was also against the Vols. The Hogs also played Texas on ABC. Although Arkansas lost, the Razorbacks were down by only three points in the fourth quarter. With nine minutes left, the Longhorns scored the final points of the game to go up 20-10.

This season, Arkansas already has one game scheduled to be played in primetime. However, this time, history is being made before the final whistle. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will head to Fayetteville for their first-ever match against Arkansas.
