The Arkansas Razorbacks currently sit as the eighth seed in the SEC, but they can improve their standing in a hurry. They’re just one game back from Missouri, Auburn, and Vanderbilt who all sit at 9-7.

They have a tough challenge ahead of them tonight when they hit the road to take on the Tennessee Volunteers, who are 13-2 at home this season.

Can Arkansas pull off the upset?

Let’s take a peak at the odds and then I’ll give you my best bet.

Arkansas vs. Tennessee odds, spread, and total

Arkansas vs. Tennessee prediction and pick

Tennessee is the best defensive team in the country, but the Vols offense has a lot to be desired, and that’s exactly where Arkansas can take advantage in this game. The Razorbacks rank 72nd in effective field goal percentage this season, well ahead of Tennessee which ranks 224th.

Arkansas should also be able to shut down Tennessee’s perimeter offense. The Vols rank inside the top 100 in 3-point shot rate, and now they face a Hogs team that’s 39th in opponent 3-point field goal percentage.

As a whole, let’s not underrate the Razorbacks’ defense, which ranks 16th in the country in defensive efficiency.

The gap between the two offenses is much wider than the gap between the two defenses. Therefore, I’m will take back Arkansas as an underdog in this SEC matchup.
