Arkansas Basketball Intriguing Matchup #3: Baylor

The AP Poll and Ken Pom both currently have them ranked sixth. Barttorvik has them ranked second. Vegas gives them the seventh-best odds of winning the National Championship. It doesn’t matter which preseason poll you put a lot of stock in, Baylor should be a good basketball team.

Arkansas basketball draws the team that bounced them from the 2021 NCAA Tournament as their matchup for the SEC-Big 12 Challenge. Challenge here is the operative word.

This will be a difficult road game for Arkansas basketball amid SEC play. Sports Illustrated picked the Bears to win the Big 12 this season. Musselman and his staff will have their work cut out to prepare for this game.

And yet…

A potential win over Baylor is also exciting because this kind of win builds postseason resumes. In addition, this kind of win could single-handedly bump the Hogs up a seed come tournament time.
