Arkansas Football #3 Player to watch: Dwight McGlothern

This kid seems to be in the right place at the right time. But, like, all the time. And, like, exactly when the Hogs need it.

McGlothern, a Houston, Texas native, has an interception for Arkansas football in each of the two games thus far. Both came during critical drives and felt like turning points in the game.

Against Cincinnati, McGlothern’s interception came in the first quarter as the Bearcats drove deep into Arkansas territory. His long return set up a KJ Jefferson touchdown and the Hogs got on the board first.

He intercepted a ball in the end zone during the 4th quarter of last Saturday’s game against South Carolina as Spencer Rattler was leading the Gamecocks on a drive. McGlothern’s pick felt like the play that shut the door on the game.

Pittman picked up a good one in this LSU transfer. His only career interception as a member of the Tigers was a pick-six against Florida.

McGlothern seems to have a nose for the ball. Arkansas football will need that ability today against Missouri State Quarterback Jason Shelley. Shelley has yet to throw an interception this year and is completing nearly 70 percent of his passes.

Let’s see if McGlothern can go three interceptions in three games. Let the pick streak continue!
