Arkansas Razorback golfer John Daly II has teamed up with his father, legendary pro John Daly, to sign a NIL deal with a national chain of restaurants that’s incredibly on-brand for the colorful elder Daly, according to Front Office Sports.

Daly II, a current member of the Arkansas Razorback golf team, is joining his father to lend their names, images and likeness to Hooters.

This is one of the most high-profile NIL deals of any Razorback since student athletes have been permitted to profit off of their name.

Daly II released a statement early today to pair with the announcement.

“I have seen my father’s great relationship with Hooters over the years, and I am proud to continue my family’s association with this iconic brand,” Daly II said according to FOS.

So what exactly will Hooters be getting from the Daly’s in this historic partnership, which is being billed as Hooters’ first NIL sponsorship?

The Daly’s will use their big social media followings to promote Hooters and will make appearances on behalf of Hooters at marketing events and tour events.

“In addition to being a Hooters social media influencer and spokesperson, Daly will sport Hooters branded apparel and use a Hooters orange golf bag with the retro Hooters logo on the PGA Tour Champions circuit,” according to THV11.

“Daly II will also play a starring role in Hooters’ social media campaigns, wear Hooters branded apparel in select golf tournaments, and make special appearances at Hooters locations,” according to THV11.

The two have been playing a lot of golf together, having won the 2021 PNC Championship together as a twosome.

You could not have dreamed up a better pairing for the Daly family than Hooters.
