The Arkansas Basketball team has had the luxury of sitting back and watching the first two rounds of the SEC Tournament as spectators.

That’s one of the perks of being one of the top four teams ranked in the conference tournament— you get a “Bye” until the quarterfinals begin.

The downside, however, is you don’t know who your opponent is until about 24 hours until tip-off, making it a little tricky to prepare as much as you would during a regular season game. But this is something all the teams have to account for, in addition to the short rest.

Arkansas Basketball team must win 3 games in 3 days to become SEC Champions

The Razorbacks finally know who their opponent will be for their game March 11 and it’s a familiar foe: the No. 5 seed LSU Tigers. The game is set for 1 p.m. CT on ESPN.

Can Arkansas beat the same team three times in one season? It’s going to be an extremely hard task, but these Hogs are up for the challenge. They are playing confident basketball, these guys trust each other and they are going to work harder than any team they face.

If the Razorbacks are able to defeat LSU for the third time in seven weeks, they will face the winner of No. 1 seed Auburn vs No. 8 seed Texas A&M March 12 at 12 p.m. on ESPN.

The Hogs were 1-1 vs Texas A&M during the regular season and 1-0 vs Auburn, upsetting them when they were the No. 1 ranked team in all of college basketball.

A win against either of those teams will put the Hogs in the SEC Championship game March 13 at 12 p.m. CT.

The Razorbacks would play one of the four following teams in the title game: 11-seed Vanderbilt, 10-seed Mississippi State, 3-seed Kentucky or 2-seed Tennessee.

If successful, this would be just the second time the Razorbacks have ever won the conference championship, ending a 22-year gap between titles.
