5 bold predictions for regular season finale vs Tennessee Vols
The Arkansas Basketball team will find a way to contain Josiah-Jordon James
Josiah-Jordan James, a junior guard from Charleston, South Carolina is coming off one of his best games of his career vs Georgia.
He recorded a career-high 23 points, grabbed 8 rebounds, dished out 5 assists, swatted 2 shots and pulled in 2 steals in the March 1 game that Tennessee won 75-68.
Against Arkansas, Jordan had a decent game, despite fouling out after 31 minutes of play. In the Feb. 19 meeting, he had 8 points, 4 rebounds and 3 turnovers.
The Hogs have the blueprint to slow down the talented 6’6″ guard, but will they be successful now that he has momentum and a excited home-crowd behind him?
The Arkansas starters will continue stepping-up against ranked opponents
As the Arkansas Athletic Department points out, four of the team’s five starters have stepped up in big ways when they have competed against teams ranked in the Top 25 this year.
In the SEC, count Arkansas as being the only team that’s undefeated against ranked opponents this season. In the wins over No. 12 LSU, No. 1 Auburn, No. 16 Tennessee and No. 6 Kentucky, the starters all averaged double figure points and pulled in a ton of rebounds.
Here’s how some of the starters performed against those four teams this season:
- JD Notae – 23.6 ppg, 3.8 rpg
- Jaylin Williams – 11.2 ppg, 12.2 rpg
- Stanley Umude – 10.8 ppg, 5.3 rpg
