The Arkansas Basketball team has a monumental task in the final game of the 2021-22 regular season: pull off one more upset.

The No. 14 Razorbacks are headed to Knoxville to take on No. 13 Tennessee in what could have major implications for seeding during the upcoming Men’s March Madness tournament.

If it feels like the Hogs have had a lot of tough games down the stretch, it’s because they have. ESPN’s Basketball Power Index computed that the Razorbacks have had the toughest schedule in all of college basketball in the final five games of the season.

The winner of Arkansas vs Tennessee will likely be rewarded with a coveted top-4 seed in the March Madness tournament, which starts March 15 with the play-in games.

Let’s take a look at some bold predictions for the March 5 regular season finale.

Despite just two days of rest, the Hogs will come out swinging vs Tennessee

Arkansas is coming off a big home win over rival LSU March 2. It took some game-winning free throws from JD Notae to give the Hogs the lead with just seconds remaining at Bud Walton Arena.

There’s good news, however despite the short rest. Arkansas is 11-0 this season when they have have a turnaround time of two or fewer days before the next game, according to Arkansas Athletic Department.

The Razorbacks are going to be in a raucous environment, but they’re used to playing in Bud Walton Arena, which recently squeezed in (a record-breaking) more than 20,000 fans.
