The Arkansas Basketball team has been playing like they are one of the best teams in all of college basketball in the final stretch of the season, winning 13 of their past 14 games.

The lone loss during this streak came on the road at Alabama, with the Hogs losing by just one point.

Powered by the phenomenal scoring prowess of JD Notae, Arkansas is making the case that they should be in the upper tier of the NCAA March Madness brackets when they are revealed on Selection Sunday, March 13 at 5 p.m. CT.

March Madness tournament seeding predictions for Arkansas Basketball team

Despite multiple top-25 wins this season and the team being on pace to surpass last season’s finish, most college basketball experts and bracket forecasters have the Razorbacks getting a No. 5 seed for the tournament.

CBS Sports currently projects Arkansas as a No. 5 seed playing Iona in the first round in the East bracket. This hypothetical bracket has the heaviest of the heavy hitters from top-to-bottom: Baylor, Duke, Kentucky, Ohio State, Arkansas, Texas, Michigan State and Wyoming as the one through eight seeds.

ESPN’s bracketology had Arkansas as a No. 6 seed before they beat Kentucky Feb. 26, playing TCU in their forecasted bracket. The have the Razorbacks competing in the Mid-West, with Kansas and Kentucky placed at the top.

USA Today currently projects Arkansas as a No. 5 seed playing the winner of a play-in game: Indiana vs San Diego State. They have the Hogs in the West bracket with Gonzaga and Duke at the top.

A lot can change for the Hogs between now and Selection Sunday. Arkansas still has a top-25 match-up against Tennessee for the final game of the regular season March 5.

Plus, the team will likely face a couple of ranked opponents if they are to win the SEC post-season tournament. The path to winning the conference tournament will likely go through at least one of the following ranked SEC teams: Auburn, Kentucky, Tennessee and/or Alabama.

A win against one or multiple ranked teams could give a healthy boost to the Razorbacks’ seeding in the March Madness tournament.

Last season, Arkansas entered the NCAA March Madness as a No. 3 seed, opening up play against Colgate. They advanced all the way to the Elite Eight before losing to eventual champion Baylor.
