The Arkansas Basketball team has solidified their post-season resume once more with an upset over No. 6 Kentucky Feb. 26 at Bud Walton Arena by a score of 75-73.

The Razorbacks have now won 13 out of their past 14 games, making them one of the hottest teams in all of college basketball. They improve to 23-6 on the season.

Heading in to the game the Hogs were ranked No. 18. A win against No. 6 Kentucky will surely pull them up a few spots in the next unveiling of the college basketball rankings.

Arkansas Basketball team outlasts second-half surge from Kentucky Wildcats

Thanks to an outstanding game from senior JD Notae, Arkansas was able to outlast Kentucky’s surge in the second-half in which they outscored the Razorbacks 45-41.

Notae finished the game with an impressive 30 points and 8 assists, solidifying his status as one of the best players in the SEC.

Jaylin Williams had his hands full trying to contain Kentucky’s Oscar Tshiebwe. He was not very successful today, as Tshiebwe erupted for 30 points and 18 rebounds. Williams had a solid performance himself, scoring 16 points and grabbing 12 boards.

Williams and Tshiebwe are the top two rebounders in the conference and they put on a clinic today, accounting for a combined 30 rebounds.

Stanley Umude stepped up as the third major contributor for the Hogs in this game, scoring 13 points and pulling in 6 rebounds.

Today’s win over Kentucky marks the fourth time the Razorbacks have defeated a team ranked No. 16 or better this season (No. 12 LSU, No. 1 Auburn, No. 16 Tennessee and No. 6 Kentucky).

Arkansas will next host LSU for the final home game of the season. That game is set for March 2 at 8 p.m. on ESPN2.
