The Arkansas Basketball team (19-5, 8-3) travels to Tuscaloosa to take on the dangerous Alabama Crimson Tide (15-9, 5-6) Feb. 12 at 11 a.m. CST.
The Hogs are competing in their first game since defeating the No. 1 team in the country, Auburn, and are in search of winning their tenth consecutive game.
The Crimson Tide are one of college basketball’s most mysterious team this season. Alabama has earned some outstanding wins over Gonzaga, Baylor, Houston and Tennessee this season. They also have losses against unranked mid-majors like Iona, Memphis and Davidson.
Let’s take a look at what to expect in this intriguing match-up between two very good SEC basketball teams.
Arkansas Razorbacks vs Alabama Odds: Moneyline, Spread, Over/Under
Arkansas +5.5 (-110)
Alabama -5.5 (-110)
Over 158.0 (-110)
Over 158.0 (-110)
Arkansas enters the game as 5.5-point underdogs, despite coming off a huge win over No. 1 Auburn. This just goes to tell you how dangerous the Tide can be on any given night. With the Hogs being on the road in a hostile environment against a very talented team, it’s no surprise the team aren’t favored to win.
Arkansas vs Alabama Prediction Today
As has been per usual during this nine-game winning streak, the Razorbacks are going to need big games from JD Notae and Jaylin Williams.
Notae, the SEC’s leading scorer at 19.1 ppg, dropped 28 points against the best team in the country. He’s capable of scoring against just about anyone. Expect him to come into this game confident as ever and knocking down shots from beyond the arc. If he can get to that 22-25 point range, I like Arkansas’ chances.
Jaylin Williams has been playing outstanding basketball during this winning streak. He’s recorded five double doubles in the past nine games after recording just one in the team’s first 15 games of the season. He’s been taking charges at an incredible rate and has turned into perhaps one of the team’s best defenders. Expect another double-double from Williams that helps power the Hogs to victory.
Prediction: Razorbacks 86, Tide 77
