The Arkansas basketball team will embark on perhaps the biggest game of the Eric Musselman era when the No. 1 Auburn Tigers travel to Fayetteville to take on the Razorbacks.

Arkansas (18-5) is on one of the hottest teams in the SEC, winners of eight consecutive games. Auburn (22-1) has not lost a game in conference play this season. The lone loss this season came against UConn in overtime back in November.

The Razorbacks are legitimate threats to give Auburn their first SEC loss of the season and knock them off the pedestal as the best team in college basketball.

Here are three reasons why the Hogs can top the Tigers tonight.

The Razorbacks have massive home-court advantage

Razorback fans inside a sold-out Bud Walton Arena will be participating in a “white-out,” giving an added layer of raucousness.

Fans have been camping out in front of the arena to ensure they have the best seats for the game.

The Hogs have a really good record against Auburn when the match-up is in Fayetteville. Arkansas is 22-5 against Auburn in Bud Walton Arena/ Barnhill Arena.

While the Razorbacks are just 1-11 against teams ranked No.1 all-time (the lone upset came against Michael Jordan and the UNC Tar Heels back in Feb. 1984), they don’t get many opportunities to face No. 1 ranked teams— the last opportunity was vs Kentucky in 2015.

The big home crowd will fuel the Hogs and give them that extra spark they need to pull off the upset. All the ingredients are there for a big win tonight.
