The Arkansas Football team could be entering the new season without the services of Offensive Coordinator Kendal Briles.

The highly coveted coordinator has reportedly been given a job offer to be the offensive coordinator for Mario Cristobal and the Miami Hurricanes of the ACC, according to multiple reports.

If he accepts the offer, Briles will replace the departing Rhett Lashlee, who was OC for Miami under Manny Diaz.

Lashlee, coincidentally, was a quarterback for the Razorbacks in the early 2000s. He recently accepted an offer to be the head coach of the SMU Mustangs during this off-season period.

Briles has been under Head Coach Sam Pittman for two full seasons now and has overseen an offense that held their own against teams like Alabama, Ole Miss and Auburn.

Could the Arkansas Football team lose OC Kendal Briles to Miami?

Briles is going to have to consider what’s important to him moving forward: does he want to live the luxe life in South Beach or be in the Ozarks?

Does he want to start over again and be part of a complete tear-down rebuild in Miami with Cristobal? Or does he want to ride the momentum of what he and the Razorbacks have built in a short time?

The Razorbacks are not going to just let Briles walk for nothing, reports are circulating that Arkansas is working on an extension to keep him in Fayetteville.

Kendal Briles made $1.1 million last season as the man running the show on offense for the Razorbacks, according to data compiled by USA Today. He would likely be looking at a sizable pay raise if an extension is agreed upon to remain at Arkansas.
