The Arkansas Football team has learned where former defensive captain Joe Foucha has decided to transfer for his final season of college football.

When you hear where Foucha has decided to transfer, you just might fall out of your chair in disbelief.

After a four-year stint with the Razorbacks and leading the team’s defense as one of the premiere cornerbacks in the SEC, Foucha has decided to transfer to the LSU Tigers.

Former Arkansas Football player joining arch-rival for 2022 season

Foucha, a native of New Orleans, has decided to go back home to the state of Louisiana and play for new coach Brian Kelly in an absolute gut-punch to Razorback fans.

The former Notre Dame head coach will be in his first season coaching LSU and will be getting a big-time player in Joe Foucha.

The 5’11” defender tweeted out his decision in the early evening hours of Jan. 11, complete with a “Geaux Tigers” hashtag.

Foucha recorded 40 assisted tackles, 32 solo tackles,  5 pass deflections, 1.5 sacks, 1 interception and 1 forced fumble in his final season with the Hogs.

In total, during his four season with the Hogs, he recorded 230 tackles, 12 pass deflections, 4 interceptions and 2 forced fumbles.

He had a huge performance in the Hogs’ win at the 2022 Outback Bowl, as well. So you have to applaud the student-athlete for finishing what he started this season instead of opting-out.

The move to Baton Rouge is likely to run many Razorback fans the wrong way, as LSU is the team’s biggest and most fierce rival.

Watching Foucha play for Kelly and LSU is going to be strange, but competing against him will be an entirely different experience, as well.

The Razorbacks will meet Foucha and LSU to defend The Golden Boot Nov. 12 in Fayetteville.
