Arkansas Football: 5 possible landing spots for former Razorback QB Malik Hornsby
Louisville Cardinals
Louisville has a history of developing quarterbacks with a similar skillset to that of Hornsby. Lamar Jackson, obviously comes to mind. An extremely fast, run-first type of quarterback, the Cardinals could find a way to utilize Hornsby’s most prominent skills.
Would he want to head to the ACC and play against blue bloods UNC, Duke and Kentucky on a yearly basis?
Could a former Arkansas Football coach lure Hornsby to Illinois?
A wildcard that may make sense would be Illinois. The Illini could be an intriguing landing spot for Malik Hornsby.
A run-heavy offense with a coach who prioritizes a strong offensive line, the young quarterback would be well protected and have a chance to display his running skills in Bret Bielema’s offense.
Hornsby would not be asked to throw the ball very much, which would probably be welcomed. His arm strength and accuracy are lightyears behind his ability to run and make defenders miss on the ground.
