The Arkansas Football team will be planning for 2022 without the services of back-up quarterback Malik Hornsby. The Missouri City, Texas native announced on Twitter recently that he’s entering the transfer portal to purse a new team.

Many Razorback fans were surprised with Hornsby’s announcement and thought the young quarterback was in a good position to develop and learn under starter KJ Jefferson and Offensive Coordinator Kendal Briles.

With Hornsby seemingly gone from the team, where might the talented player land in 2022? Here are some ideal landing spots for Malik Hornsby.

Florida Gators

Hornsby could be a nice fit for the departing Emory Jones, who himself has entered the portal. Jones and Hornsby are both fast, undersized athletes that can run the heck out of the ball.

Would incoming coach Billy Napier take a chance on Hornsby and see what he could do for the Gators? The team is in rebuild-mode and Hornsby might be the perfect project for a rebuild.
