Arkansas Football: Where the Razorbacks land in way-too-early 2022 CFB rankings
The Arkansas Football team may be experiencing a decent amount of turnover from the transfer portal and the draft, but some experts are very bullish on the Razorbacks to be very good next season.
The Hogs are returning KJ Jefferson and a host of running backs, that will give them an upper-hand on most upper-echelon teams that will be handing the keys over to new players.
It’s been just over a week since the Hogs won the 2022 Outback Bowl, but some are already looking ahead to September, when the next season begins.
Arkansas Football team lands inside the Top 10 of way-too-early 2022 rankings
Fox Sports College Football analyst and former college quarterback Joel Klatt has published his way-too-early college football rankings for the 2022 season.
The rankings, published to his Twitter account, place the Hogs inside the Top 10, landing at No. 7 overall.
- Alabama Crimson Tide
- Ohio State Buckeyes
- Georgia Bulldogs
- Texas A&M Aggies
- Michigan Wolverines
- Clemson Tigers
- Arkansas Razorbacks
- Utah Utes
- Notre Dame Irish
- Wake Forest Demon Deacons
Klatt has put the Razorbacks ahead of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Utah Utes. He is projecting Arkansas to be the fourth-best team in the SEC, trailing only Alabama, Georgia and Texas A&M.
With KJ Jefferson returning, a host of receivers coming into the fold via transfer and incoming freshman, plus a few veterans returning on defense, the Hogs have all the ingredients there to have a stellar season.
It all starts when the Razorbacks host the Cincinnati Bearcats, who made it the College Football Playoffs, Sept. 3 at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.
The Arkansas Football team finished the 2021 season with a record of 9-4.
